Use Google Ad Grants to connect community programs with people searching for help.
Eligible community nonprofits can receive up to $10,000 USD per month in in-kind Google Search advertising. The useful question is not simply how to spend the allowance, but which local searches should lead to a current, accurate program or resource.

The grant for community nonprofits
Up to $10,000 per month can support searches for programs, resources, and local participation.
Google Ad Grants can provide an eligible nonprofit with up to $10,000 USD per month in in-kind Google Search advertising. It is advertising credit, not cash, and the maximum is not guaranteed to be fully delivered or spent. Google provides the grant; EntireTech provides professional assistance and does not speak for Google.
For a community nonprofit, the value may be in reaching people searching for a food program, neighborhood resource, recurring event, workforce support, public service, or volunteer opportunity. The ad should lead to information that is current and specific enough for a local visitor to decide what to do next.
Search advertising, not cash
The grant is used for qualifying Google Search ads and cannot be treated as unrestricted operating revenue.
A monthly maximum
Up to $10,000 USD per month is available under the program, but account health, searches, campaign quality, and policy compliance affect delivery.
Local accuracy matters
A community campaign should state service areas, dates, eligibility details, and contact routes without promising that every request can be served.
Community eligibility and setup
A community mission still has to meet Google for Nonprofits and Ad Grants requirements.
Google for Nonprofits enrollment comes before Ad Grants activation. Current official guidance asks organizations to meet country-specific charitable eligibility rules, complete verification, and agree to Google’s terms. A community focus alone does not establish eligibility, and some entity types, including government organizations, hospitals or health care organizations, and schools or universities, are excluded from Google for Nonprofits under current guidance.
The organization should check eligibility, request a Google for Nonprofits account, wait for verification, and then use Google’s Ad Grants activation process. Google supplies the Ad Grants account during activation, so the organization should not create a separate Google Ads account for that process.
Community campaigns and management
Build campaigns around the local questions a community team can answer.
Useful campaign planning may start with searches for a named food distribution program, rental assistance information, youth activities, neighborhood events, workforce support, or volunteer roles. Keyword research should reflect the words residents actually use, while ad copy and landing pages should set accurate expectations about location, timing, eligibility, and response.
After launch, the account needs conversion tracking and regular review. A team may measure resource requests, event registrations, volunteer inquiries, donation visits, or calls where those actions can be tracked. Search terms, policy notices, ad performance, and landing-page clarity should inform optimization and readable reporting.
Resource access
Direct searches for a specific local program to a page that explains who it serves, where it operates, and how to ask for help.
Events and participation
Promote current community events, classes, registrations, or volunteer opportunities with dates and locations kept current.
Conversion tracking
Measure meaningful actions such as a form completion, registration, call, volunteer inquiry, or donation visit instead of reporting clicks alone.
Ongoing compliance
Review Google’s current Ad Grants policies, account performance, search terms, keywords, ads, and policy alerts throughout the account’s life.
Community campaign support
EntireTech can support the campaign and the destination without replacing Google’s role.
EntireTech can help a community nonprofit plan and manage the work around the grant. Website and landing-page design or redesign are supporting infrastructure for conversion, not the purpose of the grant. Google decides eligibility, approval, and continued participation; EntireTech is not affiliated with Google and cannot guarantee the full monthly amount, traffic, donations, or other results.
Support may include Google Ads campaign setup and ongoing management, audience and keyword research, GA4 installation or configuration, conversion tracking, SEO and content optimization, and performance reporting that explains what happened and what should be reviewed next.
